Dear Colleagues,

I read somewhere a very clear rationale by David Shulman for his
non-literal style of translation, but cannot remember where. Could anyone
point me in the right direction please?

I’d also be grateful for pointers towards any other interesting material on
translating Kāvya.

I already have:

*Translating, Translations, Translators From India To The West*, edited by
Enrica Garzilli, Harvard Oriental Series, Opera Minora.

Hank Heifetz' phd thesis on translating the Kumārasaṃbhava.

With thanks in advance,

Oliver
