Dear friends,

With apologies for cross-posting, I am happy to announce here the publication of a two-volume collaborative work on Tibetan books and manuscripts, dealing with their material features, history, and main categories:

https://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/book/9781501716218/tibetan-manuscripts-and-early-printed-books-volume-i/#bookTabs=1

https://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/book/9781501771255/tibetan-manuscripts-and-early-printed-books-volume-ii/#bookTabs=1

Although perhaps not Indological in a strict sense, issues of Indological interest are discussed, including the Tibetan adoption and continuation of the format of the palm-leaf book, the Indian origins of Tibetan scripts and bilingual Sanskrit-Tibetan books, the role of Kashmiri and other Indian artistic traditions in book decoration, the use of Indian numeral figures in Tibet, and much more.

A full table of contents will be found here

together with information regarding the publisher's discount program, for those who may be interested.
