Coincidentally, I came across "-mālaka" in the Suśrutasaṃhitā just a week
or two ago.  The sentence is here

and the compound *cuñcumālakayukta* describes what a snake-bite site looks
like; it has "a little ring of spots" around the fang-indentations.
