Raining Blood: rudhiravar ṣa

For portents, your best source would be a jyotiṣa text like  
Bṛhatsaṃhīta. I recall reading something about strange rain and  
bloody water. Try Ch.45 utpātādhyāyaḥ and you may find something  
there.
